Thankfully, we don’t have to wait any more as the new modern phone TCL 20 Y has already launched in September 2021. So if you have wanted to get your hands on this smartphone, your good time has started. But it is now on TCL’s official website. 

TCL 20 Y Price

To get the 4GB + 64GB storage option, you’ll need to shell out GHS 900 (about Rs. 10,900) in Ghana. TCL 20Y costs ARS 28,999 (approximately Rs 21,600) in Argentina, but it costs $140 in the United States. You can choose from two different colour schemes: Blue Twilight and Black Twilight. As of right now, the TCL 20Y is available for purchase on the company’s website.

Design and display

The gorgeous phone comes with Dimensions 166.2 x 76.8 x 9.1 mm (6.54 x 3.02 x 0.36 In) and is 204 g heavy. As per the recent reports, Black and Blue are the two colours to choose from. The front is an obvious glass, but a plastic back and frame would sound a little off. It is still unclear whether the phone will be Water & Dust resistant or not. It might be challenging in terms of comfort because the screen is large with a 6.52 inches display. Information is still unclear about the kind of glass it will be built on. But we know that the display will be an LCD screen, which is not liked by many. Also, resolutions stay 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio with 395 PPI density and multi-touch.

As for sim connectivity, there will be two sim slots, as usual, one for a NANO sim and the other for a Dual stand-by with no Esim and iSim adjustment.

Networks and connectivity

The first thing you would want to know- does it come with 5G connectivity? Unfortunately no. But 4g isn’t bad, though; it’s pretty good. Along with 4G, the phone comes with a 3g and 2g connectivity as well.

In addition to capturing multiple images, the camera also has noise reduction and face tracking and AI scene detection 2.0 and HDR. It also has a Google lens, pro mode and light trail, EIS video stabilisation, low light video, and stop motion. The TCL 20Y has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

TCL 20 Y runs on a powerful chipset Mediatek Helio A25 with Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) processor. Upgraded Android 11 is set up, which comes with future update options.

Internal and external storage

The TCL 20 Y is average with 4GB Ram and 64 GB ROM in terms of Memory. It also comes in a second variant with ROM 128GB and RAM remaining the same. Here comes good news as we also get a microSDXC (dedicated slot) in the phone to expand storage.
